Overview
The Concierge will work closely with the sales team to receive information for upcoming bookings and work to gather information on party size, names and details including room allocations, life passes required, ski equipment required (and pre-booked) and will assist guests with personal services from making dinner and tour reservations, offering suggestions for events, and assisting with travel arrangements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Liaising with sales team to ensure a thorough handover from sales to concierge
- Gathers information from party leader about the details of the group including group size, names, ages, room allocations, ski passes required, ski/board hire required, nanny services required, Ski lessons or tour guides, dietary requirements, if there are any special occasions during their stay or any ad-hoc requirements for restaurants, massages/beauty etc.
- Arranges any outsourced services required during their stay including nanny services, ski lessons or tour guides, massages or beauty services etc and forms and maintains relationships with these companies.
- Able to provide details of chalets, ski areas and local services and amenities to guests
- Plans and schedules special events, as required.
- Fulfils unusual requests such as arranging for adventure experiences such as husky sledging, coordinating special moments for guests, and searching for hard-to-find items.
- Works closely with Chalet Managers and Chefs to ensure that all information is handed over, followed through and executed effectively.
- Develops and maintains service relationships to fulfil the needs of the guests.
- Collating information on the database and using it to prepare guest information sheets for the chalet staff, as well as updating the database with feedback for future chalet staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Must have a positive attitude with the ability to remain flexible and patient.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent administrative skills
- Good resort knowledge is desirable, and a good level of spoken and written French is essential
