Welcome to Purple Ski's November newsletter.

Excitement is building...

...as experts are predicting "above-normal snow in the Alps" this winter, especially in the higher resorts like Meribel. Confidence is high that we are in for one of the best winters for many years!

Karen has recently arrived back in Meribel to start the on-site preparations for the season, snow has already started to fall on the upper slopes, it is cold and very beautiful.

A lot has been happening at Purple Ski since the end of last season and with only a few weeks until the lifts open for the coming winter there is much to tell.

New Website

Perhaps one of the most exciting things for us has been the launch a couple of weeks ago of our completely redesigned web site at www.purpleski.com. Needless to say we are absolutely delighted with what our developers and designers have produced for us. The new site is completely responsive to the device that it is being viewed on, so it should be far easier to research your next Purple Ski holiday whether you are behind your desk or on the move and using your iPad, iPhone or other mobile device.

With the new design comes a new logo, which we love!

New in Meribel

As ever, our friends at the lift companies, STV and Méribel Alpina have been working hard during the inter season to improve the skiing infrastructure. There are new lifts, new sledging areas (including night sledging in Meribel-Mottaret), magic carpets and improved pistes. Come and see!

New to Purple Ski - Yoga and Pilates.. and healthier food!

One of our lovely in-house masseuses, Tasha Abercrombie, can not only offer sports remedial massages to help ease your aching limbs back to normality and improve your skiing performance, but she is also a trained and qualified yoga and Pilates teacher and will be offering sessions for up to 3 people at a time in the comfort of your chalet.

You can now see real time availability for the masseuses and make massage bookings on the web site. Of course you can also call, email us or book them when you arrive in Meribel.

We are very proud of our food and our reputation of producing the best food in the ski chalet industry. Responding to our guests' improved awareness of the importance of a healthy diet, we are working harder than ever to make sure that our food is not only delicious and interesting but also healthy: this season our chefs will have an extra week of preparation, part of which includes training sessions, led by an expert guest chef, to inspire, motivate and help them prepare healthier food, while of course still cooking to please.

And some things that haven't changed

Those of you who have stayed with us before will be happy, I am sure, to see many familiar faces on the Purple Ski team, including the lovely relief chef Becks, the Zybeline "dream team" of Paul, Lauren and Fletch and the wonderful Grant in Lapin Blanc. We are delighted that 14 of our team of 29 have worked with us before. (And of course we have some amazing new recruits! Biographies and photos to be posted to our new website shortly.)
